101 Everything about our 1/8 Mile

::: The 1/8 Mile of the Glemseck 101
It is half the distance of a 1/4 Mile and therefore a real rider’s distance. It is NOT just the performance of the motorcycle that counts. Even a less powerful motorcycle can win against a stronger opponent over this distance: saving the lead gained at the start over the approx. 201 meters to the finish line. Strong nerves at the start are half the battle!
The 1/8 Mile according to Glemseck 101 rules is analog:
»Old School« 1/8 Mile Racing«

There are no red-green-light at the start. No light barrier at the finish line. Participants will be sent into the 1/8 Mile via a »Flag Girl« with the »Chequered Flag« and the winner will be confirmed via a »Human Target Eye» with the »Red Flag».

Even though motorbikes are becoming more and more complex, both technically and creatively: this purely »analogue» implementation, the renunciation of any electronic technical aids and of timekeeping, makes the 1/8 Mile of the Glemseck 10 something special. Adrenalin, joy and great pictures – especially at the start – for the participants, photographers as well as the audience.
With this type of organizing the 1/8 Mile – the Glemseck 101 has been successful since 2009 and is a role model for other events.
::: Glemseck 101 - 1/8 Mile Sprint-Days 2026
5. September, 101 Saturday and 6. September, 101 Sunday

::: Different sprint classes - Different rules
Some of the 101 Sprints are organized by us, some by long-standing guest sprint organizers. The following applies to all 101 Sprints: You do not register, but apply with your motorcycle. With us or the respective guest sprint organizer.
On the Glemseck 101 1/8 Mile race, it is mainly custom-built motorcycles that compete against one another: »old-school street style«. This stems from our history, which began with the so-called cafe racers. For pure dragster motorcycles and professional racing, there is the 1/4 Mile race on drag strips built specifically for that purpose. Pure series production motorcycles (with the exception of the Classic Racer Sprint) or motorcycles for or from the race track will not be accepted by us or our guest sprint organizers.

All our 101 Sprints are open to amateurs and professionals alike. A commitment to participate is NOT dependent on whether the motorcycle was born in a private garage or a professional workshop. All 101 Sprints have technical regulations as well as style regulations. Both must match for acceptance.
Please go through the list of our 101 Sprints yourself in advance - see our navigation points - to see whether your motorcycle is suitable for an application for one of the Glemseck 101 Sprints listed. Under each 101 Sprint point, you will find the respective rules, as well as the contact for the application.
Another recommendation: Become a follower of Glemseck 101 on 101 Facebook and/or Instagram – and you will always be informed when you can apply for your suitable 101 Sprint.

::: Starting Fee per participant: 70,- Euro
The Glemseck 101 - 1/8 Mile sprints are started with insurance coverage and under the highest safety standard. The »1/8 Mile« will be inspected by the DMSB (German Motor Sport Federation) and a DMSB race inspector will also be on site.
A valid 1/8 Mile DMSB license for the 101 weekend will be issued by the Race Control Team of the 101 AFTER successful application and AFTER payment of the entry fee of 70 Euro for each participant.
You will receive the payment modalities for this DMSB license (PayPal / bank details) with the confirmation of participation.
Please note: In case of cancellation AFTER a confirmation as well as in case of cancellation during the event, there will be no refund of the starting fee.

::: Glemseck 101 is a LONG weekend!
We look forward to seeing you on our 1/8 Mile track and showcasing you both on-site and on our social media channels. In return, in addition to the entry fee, we ask that you present yourselves and your motorcycles to our audience and photographers throughout the entire weekend. This is what we call the 101 Spirit and the 101 Motorcycle Family.
Please only apply if you are willing and able to be on-site for the entire Glemseck 101 weekend, from Friday (arrival day) through Sunday, until the end of the event! We place a very high priority on this! For us as the 101 Team, our 101 Guest Sprint organizers, and our audience.

::: Travel & Race Office 101
You should arrive no later than Friday morning or afternoon. The setup phase runs until 5:59 p.m. on Friday. Glemseck 101 officially opens at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Unofficially, it’s already a fantastic international meet-and-greet starting at 12:00 p.m. on Friday!
• Due to the high number of visitors, we have always had to close the entrance to the 101 area on 101 Saturday mornings in recent years. This also applies to the 101 paddock.
• The 101 Race Office already opens for registration on 101 Friday evening: DMSB paperwork and »Technical acceptance« - and it's a „Big Show“ for our audience as well as for you. Right in the heart of the 101.
• We have two long and awesome 101 nights. As a participant, you really shouldn't miss these two long party nights.

::: Glemseck 101 Social Media is your stage!
Glemseck 101 offers free entry to its visitors. Visitors arriving by motorcycle also pay no parking fees. This “Free entry!” - which includes access to the grandstands for the 1/8 Mile track and to the live music on the 101 Main Stage in the evening - is only possible thanks to our partners and sponsors AND our fans and followers on social media.
So we’re thrilled about every participant who, after we’ve confirmed their attendance, shares their story on their social media and tags us! It often happens that Steven our 101 CD then messages you to be a “co-author”.
So, to wrap things up, here are four more important 101 points!

::: It's not the 101 trophy
You don't have to end up with a 101 trophy in your hand to call a 101 winning bike your own. The Silver Bullet from Bully Performance is the perfect example. It didn't win a trophy in the 101 Sprint International 2024, but it generated a lot of interest from the public and the press. With its unique style and the show next to and on the 1/8 Mile, it found its way into international blogs.
::: Smile, it's the 101!
If you've been accepted to one of the 101 Sprints, make the most of this #Glemseck101 social media opportunity for you too. Before, during, and after! Especially if you have a special motorcycle put on its two wheels. Two companions per participant are allowed in the 101 Start Zone. It really makes sense if one of them knows how to use a cell phone or camera! And don't forget to smile!
::: You are the 101 Star!
Whether in the 101 Start Zone or on the 101 Areal, the photographers present are always on the lookout for the perfect motif throughout the 101 weekend. Draw attention to yourself and approach them. And – when you roll towards the 101 Start Line or the way back, this is your red carpet! Interact with our flag girls and our audience. You and your motorcycle are the star at this moment – so be a star. Even off the track.
::: Don’t miss out on our 101 nightlife!
We are the place to be! 3 days. 2 long nights. One 1/8 Mile.

::: Foot-note: No liability for the content
Changes in the 101 planning as well as the technical regulations are possible at any time.
