The personal registration for the rider and a maximum of two accompanying persons, as well as the technical acceptance takes place at the »Glemseck 101 Race Office.«The 101 Race Office can be found at the T-junction in the center of Glemseck 101.
The rider and his / her assistant (maximum two!) must appear in person to sign the waiver of liability. Please note: without this waiver of liability, no access to the 1/8 Mile is possible. Note: Each 101 participant is registered with the DMSB (German Motor Sport Federation) under a one-day license.
::: Opening Hours 101 Race Office
101 Friday: 19:30 - 21:00 o’clock
101 Saturday: 10:00 - 11:00 o’clock
101 Sunday: 10:00 - 11:00 o’clock
::: 101 Starting Area
Only authorized persons are permitted in the Glemseck 101 starting area. Anyone who cannot present a valid 101 Race Office wristband will not be allowed into the starting area by our security staff. Please make sure that everyone on your team (participants and accompanying persons) has this authorization and is wearing the wristband.
::: Registration for Technical Inspection
The motorcycle (as well as the helmet!) used in the sprint must also be presented during these times, but it may also be brought to the technical inspection by a »technician« at a later time - within the race office’s opening hours!
::: 101 Race Office Hour 101 Friday
This evening hour inspection takes place in front of a large audience. There will be wait times, but it’s also a great showcase and spectacle - and thus part of our Glemseck 101 program!
For participants in one of the 101 Guest or Brand Sprints
Check with your organizer to see if they have arranged a separate inspection appointment for your entire starting field.
::: Four basics for Technical Inspection
(applies to all 1/8 Mile Sprints)
- Front and rear brakes mandatory
- Kill switch mandatory
preferably also breakaway kill switch* (connection to the wrist)
*Mandatory for Rocket Race Club, StarrWars, Rock’t Roller - Free-moving throttle grip
- No leaking fluids (oil, fuel, water)
::: 101 Race Office - Riders Safety
It is required to wear stable racing and safety clothing (jacket, pants, gloves, shoes). Back protectors and a helmet conforming to a helmet standard recognized by the DMSB
(German Motor Sport Federation) are obligatory.
Helmet standard, effective 2026
FIM FRHPhe-01 oder FRHPhe-02 | Europa: ECE 22-05 „P“, „NP“, „J“ oder ECE 22-06 “P”, “NP”, “J” | Japan: JIS T 8133:2015 | USA: SNELL M2015 oder SNELL M2020D oder SNELL M2020R oder SNELL M2025R oder SNELL M2025D
The DMSB (German Motor Sport Federation) has issued a bulletin stipulating that, as of 2026, only helmets that comply with the ECE 22-06 standard may be used in road racing. Since our sprints fall under a different set of DMSB regulations that is not affected by this change, we still permit helmets that comply with the ECE 22-05 and ECE 22-06 standards this year. We expect that we will need to update our regulations again for 2027.
The wearing of a full face helmet** is mandatory!
Important: Your helmet must also be presented for »technical inspection«! If the helmet does not meet any of the above standards, participation is not possible!
**Exception: Moped-Sprint
::: Use of Action Cameras
If action cameras (GoPro, insta360 etc.) are used, these must be installed in the silhouette of the motorcycle. NO extensions or sticks. NO action cameras on the rider (helmet, chest, etc.). Front shots only WITHOUT a view of the motorcycle's cockpit.
Note: The 1/8 Mile of Glemseck 101 is analog. For NO 101 Race Control decision (finish crossing, jump-start, etc.), will any on-board recordings* or recordings from other positions be reviewed afterwards as so-called »video evidence« by 101 Race Control or discussed with the riders or their companions. (See also »1/8 Mile Bible« p. 10.)
::: 15 minutes until Start
Participants and their companions must be in the starting are - specifically at the entrance or in the rear section - no later than 15 minutes BEFORE the start of their 1/8-Mile Sprint! Therefore, please make sure to head to the 101 starting area well in advance.
Note: On both 101 Saturday and 101 Sunday, there is always very heavy audience on foot traffic in front of the 101 starting area, which makes it sometimes a bit difficult to reach and to enter the starting area.
Please note: The entire 101 area is walking speed!
::: »101 Breaking News« and the »101 Bush Telegraph« on site
Due to external circumstances, i.e. weather caprices, there can always be changes in the program during the event. This mainly affects the program on our 1/8 Mile.
The following applies: No sprints will take place on a wet track!
If rain starts during a sprint, it will be stopped immediately and the 1/8 Mile will be closed. When a restart will take place will be decided by the 101 Race Control. The 101 Race Office will provide information on when the sprints will restart.
If any sprints are delayed by a full day, we'll let you know via 101 Facebook and Instagram about the new schedule with our on-site »101 Breaking News«!
At the latest in the early morning of the next day these »101 Breaking News« will be online! We ask each of our participants as well as visitors to pass these »101 Breaking News« then also verbally to friends and acquaintances on site. This is then our »101 Bush Telegraph« – and as the brief freak weather on 101 Saturday 2022 showed us, it works brilliantly on the 101 site!
We recommend every participant, every team, to follow us on Facebook and/or Instagram – also in the run-up to the event! 101 News as well as changes in the schedule will be posted there promptly by us and you will always stay informed.
::: A final recommendation
You can bring two accompanying persons with you to the 101 starting area. Take advantage of the 101 atmosphere! Read more about this topic: 101 Everything About Our 1/8 Mile | Glemseck 101 Social media is your stage. Bring someone along who can take great photos and videos of you with a camera or a good smartphone - especially when our flag girl drops the starting flag for you.
We wish you the best of luck with your application for one of our sprints, a safe trip, and lots of fun and success on our 1/8 Mile.
